Rice expands partnership with FanThreeSixty, creating the most robust fan engagement platform in college sports

Rice Athletics has expanded its partnership with FanThreeSixty to transform fan data into actionable insights and business efficiency. We have agreed on a new four-year term that incorporates all aspects of the FanThreeSixty Platform.

Our partnership is nothing new. We have partnered since 2019 to grow ticket sales of Owls Athletic events and drive efficiency in the ticket sales department. In addition to using our Fan Data Platform and CRM solutions, Rice will employ our email platform, mobile application, sponsorship solution and predictive analytics models. By utilizing the full suite of FanThreeSixty solutions, Rice not only aims to increase business efficiencies with more automation across its organization, but also to leverage the fan engagement platform to grow revenues.

As part of the new agreement, Rice Athletics launched a new mobile app that engages fans every day of the year, not just on gameday. The app brings live radio broadcasts, rosters, scores and exclusive content to fans’ fingertips — no matter where they are or which sport they follow. It is released just ahead of the 2021 football season and is available in both the Apple App Store and Google Play

The FanThreeSixty mobile platform allows Rice to engage unique, targeted audiences (Season Ticket Members, Students, alumni, new fans, etc.) and send them exclusive, interactive content including trivia, videos, photos and live radio. The app will also feature news, scores, schedules and rosters for all 14 Rice sports. 

In the coming months, we look to add and incorporate predictive models to the platform that will help Rice meet its goals, including dynamic audiences that have been proven to identify fans who are 25 times more likely to purchase tickets and spend 2 times more than the average fan.
